ResNet

Residential Networking, Education & Technology Program at the University of Redlands.

What is ResNet

ResNet is the Residential Networking, Education & Technology Program at the University of Redlands and is responsible for providing access to the Internet and any other computing needs that you may have. ResNet provides on-site IT support for any technology-related issues, including Networking Setup/Troubleshooting.

ResNet provides complimentary technical assistance to students of the University of Redlands. ResNet is available to assist students by connecting you to the wireless network, gaining access to the myRedlands portal, getting e-mail on your mobile devices, password management, and many other computing needs that you may have.

Our Services

ResNet provides on-site IT support for any technology-related issues, including Networking Setup/Troubleshooting. ResNet employees are made up of on-campus students who are here for all of your technology needs. Our team is a group of tech savvy individuals who have the ability to answer any of the following issues or questions:

  • Any Wi-Fi related issues
  • Microsoft Teams and Zoom support
  • Password Management
  • Virus and Malware removal issues
  • Reformatting and Backing up computers
  • Diagnosing any problems on any computer
  • We also can diagnose hardware problems and recommend solutions, but we cannot fix these issues 

 

The ResNet Team

We are a branch of the IT department dedicated to the students and the residence of the dorms. We are made up of student employees that are dedicated to computers, and will dedicate all of their time and effort to solve the technology problems of any University of Redlands student. ResNet is staffed by the ResNet Manager and a team of work-study students; we are here to assist you with your technology needs.

First Year and Transfer Students

Welcome to the University of Redlands Tech Support page (ResNet), The University of Redlands provides free technical support to all students living on and off campus. Free internet access is provided to all students on Residence Halls as well as on classroom; A Microsoft Office subscription is also provided at no charge (contact ResNet for how to install).

Connecting Gaming Devices

The University of Redlands Provides Wireless connectivity to your gaming devices (UoR Game). To Connect your Gaming device (e.g. X-Box, Play Station). Simply e-mail your device's MAC address to: resnet@gregorybgallagher.com. Once a confirmation is sent you can connect your gaming device to the UoR Game Wireless Network.
